At around 00:37, the MDA hotline received a report of a young woman being stabbed during a brawl on Hovevei Zion Street in Ashkelon.

Police and an ambulance were rushed to the scene along with MDA drives and rescue organizations.

Laura Zohar, a paramedic from the “Rescue Union” who arrived at the scene, said: “We provided primary medical care to a 20-year-old woman who was stabbed in all parts of her body. The woman was evacuated to Barzilai Medical Center in the city with her condition defined as moderate.”

An MDA intensive care unit evacuated the injured to Barzilai Medical Center.

The police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the stabbing and it emerged that the young woman was stabbed during a brawl and soon detained for questioning two 20-year-old girls suspected of involvement in the incident.

The investigation continues.

Early in the morning, another case was received on Hakikion Street in the Afridar neighborhood. By the time the forces arrived at the scene, it became clear that the wounded man was advancing on foot in the direction of the Academy complex.

This is a young man who was sprayed with pepper gas during a case that is currently being investigated by the police.

He needed medical attention.

The investigation continues.
