Philips takes Defense to court for order of one million | Financial

The Ministry of Defense gave preference to devices from the Fuego-Tiel company for automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), devices that can be used in a heart attack and that even instruct untrained users step-by-step how to use the device. According to information from tender platform Tenderned, this involves a thousand AEDs, plus an option on another 2500 devices.

However, Philips states that the Fuego-Tiel products do not make a noise in all situations, even though that was one of the requirements in the tender.

Philips confirmed that it has initiated summary proceedings, but does not want to comment on the substance of the case. Defense does not comment on the substance either. When the judge in summary proceedings gives judgment, it will appear at the end of the hearing, according to spokesmen for both parties.
