House hunting in For The Same Money ends in great disappointment

Edith and Peter, who live in Haarlem, want the space. There is already a chicken coop in their backyard, but the chicks can barely turn their asses. Peter is originally from Texel and wants ‘to live in the countryside, without traffic lights’. The budget is 500,000 euros and for that they want no less than three hectares of space, so that Peter can put his beloved sheep in the land. Finally, they want to be able to rent out part of it as a bed & breakfast.

The advantage for Edith and Peter is that they have no wishes for the location, although the north of the Netherlands is preferred. The first house is also the smallest. In Oosterwolde they get a large piece of land and the opportunity to receive guests.

According to them, the second home in Veenoord in Drenthe is ‘a nice one’. He is also within budget and has been able to maintain the mix of rural and neighbors. Here too there is room for a b & b, but then there is still a lot of work to be done. Still, Peter misses a view.

The last house is in Beerta, Groningen and is ‘a sweetheart’ according to Edith. They will also receive a large piece of land at this house and the building is located on a waterway. When Edith enters the kitchen, we see disappointment dripping from her face. “We have to do something with that. You can cook in it”, she notes. The two are certainly pleased with the large plot of land and the surroundings and they therefore choose this house to live in a trial.

Yet the dream palace is not among them. In Beerta it mainly ran aground on a busy road that lies close to the house. Edith also realizes that due to the distance between Haarlem and Beerta her son cannot come to visit as quickly. That two and a half hour ride turns out to be one dealbreaker.

For the same money see you on Monday at 8.30 pm on RTL 4 or look ahead on Videoland.

Natasja Froger is already in the second season For the same money present and told RTL Boulevard all about this project.
