Employers who have made use of the first round of wage support must apply for the final determination of the amount to which they are entitled. This is possible from next week, the UWV benefits agency announced on Wednesday.
The figures that employers have to provide relate to the actual loss of turnover and wage costs for the months of March, April and May of this year.
About 140,000 employers have received an advance from the first round of wage support (NOW 1) in connection with the corona crisis. “In total, this involved an amount of almost 8 billion euros”, according to the UWV.
Companies that have received up to 100,000 euros in wage support must provide the data within 24 weeks at the latest. Employers who have received more are given 48 weeks to do so. They need an auditor’s report.
“If they do not provide anything within that period, the wage support will be set at zero and everything must be repaid,” explains a spokesman for the UWV. The authority has a maximum of one year after receiving the data to determine the final amount.
