Call of Duty: Warzone – Activision has reportedly banned another 20,000 people

Activision has reportedly banned around 20,000 Call of Duty Warzone cheaters at the start of Season 6.

A report from Vice states that an Activision spokesperson “and people familiar with the matter” said the publisher sent out a banwave on Monday, much of which was related to the EngineOwning cheating program.

The EngineOwning website now says that the Modern Warfare 2019 cheat is listed as “detected”, meaning Activision has successfully stopped the cheat and banned accounts of thousands of cheaters.

Vice’s post also mentions streamer Nick ‘Wagnificent’ Wagner, whose account was permanently banned in the middle of a stream. Sources tell Vice that Wagner used a cheat now found in Warzone, which has left him banned.

In April, Activision banned 50,000 accounts for cheating, saying “Warzone has a zero-tolerance policy for cheaters.” Developer Infinity Ward already said that more banwaves would arrive in July.
