A woman who has been missing for two years has been found living in the middle of the sea

There are countless movies and series about people who disappear one bright day and are alive years later in all sorts of bizarre places. The following story sounds like it’s a client from one of these movies – only it’s completely true. Colombian Angelica Gaiten disappeared about two years ago and was found last Saturday alive floating in the middle of the sea away from home, with her eyes closed and unable to say a word. Two frightened fishermen found her and hurriedly threw a lifebuoy at her and led her to their boat.

The rescue operation was recorded on camera, and a video later posted on the network shows 46-year-old Angelica lying on the lifebuoy and being dragged to the boat about two miles from the shores of the city of Puerto Colombia in the province of Atlantico, Colombia, suffering from fatigue and hypothermia.

According to local media reports, the two fishermen, Rolando Weisbel and Gustavo, tried to talk to her in Spanish and English to make sure she understood them, but Angelica was so weak she could barely speak. The local newspaper “La Libertad” reports that Angelica stayed in the water for 8 hours, at the end of which the fishermen noticed her and thought that what they saw in the water was a log until she started to move and managed to raise her hand to signal for help. The fishermen managed with great difficulty to get Angelica on the boat, tried to talk to her and brought her water but she burst into tears and refused to cooperate. They brought her to the beach and there, with the help of locals led her to the hospital for treatment. It was further reported that the first words Angelica said after she was rescued were: “I was born again, God did not want me to die.” It was only later that the fishermen learned that Angelica had been missing for two years. What has happened to her in the last two years, the reason for her disappearance and her sudden appearance are now being investigated by the police.
