From the first audition of Eden Elena it was clear to everyone that this is a prominent contestant who, thanks to a powerful performance and a huge stage presence, will not be swallowed up by everything else. The vocalist of the young contestant has captured the judges and the audience at home, and now at the end of an event packed with performance, fireworks, suspense and confetti one can declare: Eden Elena is the winner of the next Eurovision Song Contest 2020 and will represent us at the European competition to be held in May in Rotterdam.
Eden performed Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been” song in the duel, but lost to Amrami Brookman. However, thanks to the votes of the audience and the judges, she went on to the final stage of the final event. During the stage of the battle she competed with Amrami Brockman and Ella Lee Lahav, where she performed Beyonce’s “Halo” song.
At the end of the voting phase and after weighing the results of the judges and the audience, Eden came in first place with 260 points. Ella Lee Blade came in second with 182 points, and Amrami Brookman Orr came in third with 158 points. Gaia Shaki, who did not go up to triumph, came in fourth and respected.
“I met Eden yesterday in the hall when we were rehearsing,” Judge Shiri Maimon said shortly after the winner’s announcement, “I asked her how are you, and she told me ‘I so want it, I want this song’. I held her hands and said I was all So she hopes for her to win, that sense of ‘I want to represent Israel’ and really win. You are the champion, really well done to you. ”
Eden Elena has gone a long way in the next Star Show for Eurovision 2020. At each re-appearance she has demonstrated impressive vocal abilities and feels most comfortable on stage. Every time she took the stage she brought with her rhythm, good energy and a lot of soul.
Now, countless interviews, press conferences and, of course, one song await our new representative to take to the world’s biggest stage, in an attempt to conquer Europe.
