Record Whiskey: the largest bottle in the world sold at auction for 18 thousand euros

The largest bottle of whiskey in the world was sold at auction for 15 thousand pounds (about 18 thousand euros). According to Graham Crane, the director of the auction house Just Whiskey who held the sale, this is a "truly unique whiskey bottle": about 1.5 meters high, it contains 105.3 liters, the equivalent of about 150 standard bottles. Produced in August 2009 by the Tomintoul distillery in the Scottish region of Speyside, the bottle contains a single malt whiskey aged 14 years and was exposed to the public for the first time at the Edinburgh whiskey museum in 2012, when its value was estimated at 5 thousand pounds.
