Interviewed by the BBC, the American Virginia Giuffre claims to have been forced at 17 to have sex with Prince Andrea. To force it would have been Jeffrey Epstein, the American financier accused of serious sexual abuse of minors and died suicide in prison last August. The facts date back to 2001. "This is not just a murky story of sex. It is a story of human trafficking," says the woman who recounts: "I felt his sweat on him, he was sweating as if it were raining". The 59-year-old Andrea, the third son of Queen Elizabeth, denies the accusations. The prince has already previously claimed that at the time he could not sweat because of a pathology developed in battle during the Falklands war. In response to Giuffre's interview, a spokeswoman for Buckingham Palace said: "It is categorically denied that the Duke of York has had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Giuffre. Any contrary statement is false and without foundation".
