Is dead Danny Aiello, character actor famous for his roles as an Italian American. He was 86 years old. Born in New York in 1933, his father was a laborer son of immigrants and his mother was a seamstress from Naples.The film debut dates back to 1976 with The nominee, directed by Martin Ritt. So he participated in a minor role in The godfather – Part II. In 1986 he also appeared in the video clip of Madonna Papa don't preach, where he played the singer's father. His most famous interpretation is that of the Italian-American pizza maker Sal in the film by Spike Lee, Do the right thing, for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. It was also the police captain Vincent Aiello in the film Sergio Leone Once upon a time in America (1984), Monk in The purple rose of Cairo (1985) by Woody Allen, then he played Johnny Cammareri, the brother of Nicolas Cage, in Haunted by the moon (1987).
