These are the main trends that emerge from the analysis of the bookings made on the website and on the App of the platform e-Dreams from January to October by travelers from the Bel Paese, dealing with the organization of Christmas and New Year holidays.

The favorite destinations of our compatriots with regard to i Christmas trips they are characterized by the renowned choreographies of Christmas lights, one of the elements that contribute to the creation of the magical atmosphere of the Festivals, be it Christmas trees, decorative lights or simply the light scenes of which the cities are covered. The Italians, also for this reason, have focused their preferences on New York and Tokyo, two cities that are always very bright and that on the occasion of the Holidays turn into a real blaze of lights: these two cities, in fact, guide the ranking of the destinations that have the highest growth in bookings was recorded compared to last year. In the traditional ranking of the most requested destinations for Christmas 2019, instead, London is confirmed at the top, followed by Catania and New York and Paris, but there are also other Italian destinations in the Top10, such as Milan and Palermo, respectively at 6th and 7th place, reflecting the fact that spending Christmas with loved ones is a tradition that knows no sunset. Finally a curiosity: the most "crowded" date for departure is December 21st (15% of bookings).

Visitors are also on the increase, pointing to destinations such as Marrakesh (+ 69%), the imperial city that reveals sumptuous palaces in the alleys of the medina, Lisbon (+ 50%), in antiquity a meeting place for occultists and today the cradle of fado, and Budapest (+ 41%), the pearl of the Danube, born from the union of two historic cities.
