The 3BMeteo experts confirm that in the whole of Northern Italy «snow generally falls above 1000 / 1200m on the Alpine areas but with flakes that have fallen at times until around 600 / 700m in the most intense phenomena on stretches of the peaks of upper Piedmont and Trentino.
The most intense snowfalls are now concentrating on the central-eastern Alps, where more than 1500m are accumulations even greater than 20cm of fresh snow. Snow also on the peaks of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, with the flakes that whiten from 1800m ".
"The disturbance will attenuate its effects on central-southern Piedmont and Western Liguria, in the afternoon on Emilia, lower Lombardy and lower Veneto – notes 3B Meteo -. Instead, it will insist on high Piedmont and high Lombard-Venetian plains with abundant rainfall and snowfall in the Alps from 1000 / 1300m, although in the evening the weather will improve throughout the Northwest. The instability on the central regions will affect above all those of the Tyrrhenian side with rains and thunderstorms that will trespass at times the central Adriatic one, but towards evening up on Emilia Romagna. Unstable and stormy in Sardinia, while it will get better in the South where there will be frequent sunny spaces except for some rainfall between Campania, Molise and upper Puglia ».
