The Minister of Education Lorenzo Fioramonti presented today some news for the next Maturity exam, which will be held starting from 17 June 2020. The two main novelties are the reintroduction of History in the themes of the first test (that of Italian) and l abolition of the three envelopes in the oral test. The former Education Minister Marco Bussetti had in fact approved a reform of the Maturity introducing among other things the use of three closed envelopes to start the oral test: each envelope contained different materials and the students had to choose one and use the materials found to begin their exhibition.
Member of the 5 Star Movement, he was Deputy Minister of Education in the Lega-M5S government. He is 42 years old and is currently on leave from the role of full professor of political economy at the University of Pretoria (South Africa), where he founded the Center for the Study of Governance Innovation. In 2014 he became the first president of the Association of Sub-Saharan European Union Studies and his articles were published on various international newspapers.
