The American climber Brad Gobright died during a climb to Mexico: he was 31 years old. The news was given by the Mexican news site Telediario and the specialized magazine Rock and Ice. Gobright had been in Mexico for a few days for climbing: according to the information collected by Rock and Ice he would fall while climbing the Sendero Luminoso, a street in the Portero Chico mountain complex. The dynamics of the incident is not very clear, but it seems that Gobright fell with his partner Aiden Jacobson: Jacobson's body stopped just below, while it seems that Gobright fell for about two hundred meters.
Godbright was considered a great talent of the "free solo" discipline, that is climbing without ropes or protections: in 2015 the magazine The Outside in a long profile he called it "the next great climber in free only».
