Unfortunately there is no good news coming from the mathematical models of forecasting. The weather conditions are deteriorating rapidly and will be an exclation of bad weather that will continue for most of next week.
The most critical phase could take place between Monday and Tuesday, when a deep cyclonic vortex will route to the regions of southern Italy. Whirlpool that is developing in these hours, near Sardinia, due to a new cold polar break-in. Keep in mind that the seas surrounding the boot still contain so much thermal energy, especially the southern ones.
Explosive weather for Tuesday 12: "URAGANO MEDITERRANEO" risk. Consequences
Not surprisingly, it is easy to see from the maps, after being generated in neighboring Sardinia the vortex will slide in a south-easterly direction encountering relatively hot waters and receiving that energy contribution that will cause a further deepening. It should form a real Mediterranean cyclone, whose effects as we all know are highly unpredictable.
Predicted rainfall maps are not encouraging at all. On Monday the ideal conditions could be created for self-regenerating thunderstorms near the Ionic coasts, thunderstorms capable of discharging large amounts of water to the ground in a short time. From here, of course, we must necessarily speak of downpours.
Weather evolution: endless bad weather. The details
Apparently the rainfall will then rise towards the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic, up to the Northeast. They will rise quickly, it is true, but it could be a double wave that will follow the evolution – quite likely – of the cyclonic low towards the north.
To speak of hydrogeological criticality does not seem to us exaggerated, which is why we invite you to carefully observe the updates of the National Civil Protection to understand which regions may be most at risk. We will obviously try to keep you updated as much as possible.
