Saipem has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Daewoo on opportunities in the onshore oil and gas industry, with particular attention to the liquid natural gas (LNG) sector, selected globally, according to a statement.
Combining their respective resources and expertise in engineering, procurement and construction of ground-based systems, the two companies will be able to focus on specific opportunities with the aim of creating efficiency and value for their customers, explains the note from the oil service.
Maurizio Coratella, chief operating officer of the Onshore E&C division, underlines that the agreement "will capitalize on our distinctive competencies in highly relevant projects, particularly in the GNL".
"The LNG is strategic for us and we are convincingly focusing our attention on it to consolidate our activities and the results of the E&C onshore".
