Big surprise after branching the list of called up by Milan for tomorrow's match against Juventus. Stefano Pioli has in fact decided not to convene the Ivorian Franck Kessie officially for technical choice. The former Atalanta will therefore remain to watch his teammates, but out of the squad list, after he had already been put on the bench last week against Lazio to make room for Krunic. So speculations have started about the real reason behind the technical choice.

PROBLEM IN TRAINING – According to the Milannews portal, Stefano Pioli's choice is due to a poor performance during the weekly training sessions of Franck Kessie, which would have led the Emilian coach to leave him directly out of the squad list, not even making him sit on the bench. The move has all the appearance of being punitive, but above all aimed at encouraging the player to engage in the week. By now Kessie, after a few seasons in which he was used to not being in discussion in the eleven holder, is called to play for the jersey with Krunic. The need seems even greater now that Pioli has decided to move to 3421: the seats from holders there in the middle of the field have gone from 3 to 2 in short.

We'll see if any other background on Kessie's glaring exclusion will leak out to shed more light on the story. But for the moment the Ivorian will have to content himself with observing and cheering for his teammates, putting all his efforts into recovering a starting jersey after the break, when Milan will be called to another big match against Napoli at San Siro.

The list of the Milan squad for the Stadium match:

GOALKEEPERS: Donnarumma A., Donnarumma G., Reina.

CENTROCAMPISTI: Bennacer, Biglia, Bonaventura, Çalhanoğlu, Krunić, Paqueta.
