Scott Z. Burns (Plutonius 239 – Invisible danger) is the director of The Report, drama based on real facts. The film has as its protagonist Daniel J. Jones (Adam Driver), member of the US Senate Investigation and Intelligence Committee, charged with investigating prison methods and questioning of the CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY in the period following the attacks of the11 September 2001. After many years, the man discovers the existence of immoral and cruel torture practices that the CIA has long sought to hide, but it will be very hard to bring them back to the surface. The cast also includes Annette Bening, Michael C. Hall, Corey Stoll and Maura Tierney. Burns produced the film with Jennifer Fox, Danny Gabai, Eddy Moretti, Kerry Orent, Steven Soderbergh and Michael Sugar while the Italian distribution was entrusted to Prime Video which will release it in theaters from the 18 to 20 November 2019.
Burns also wrote the screenplay for the film while Eigil Bryld took care of the photography. The editing is by Greg O’Bryant, instead the sets and costumes are by Ethan Tobman and Susan Lyall. The special effects were made by Conrad V. Brink Jr and the soundtrack by David Wingo.
Daniel J.
