Genova. The orange weather alert issued from 18.00 on Thursday to 8.00 on Friday, the COC met today and implemented the actions foreseen by the municipal emergency plan.
After a careful evaluation of the weather forecasts “the Municipality of Genoa has decided to keep schools open on Friday 8 November. Tomorrow morning at 5.30 am the municipal operations center will meet again for further assessments on the situation and, if criticalities such as to make it necessary, could be taken, different decisions could also be taken for partial sectors of the city ".
Territorial supervision, control and monitoring of municipal rivers was established. An orange alert includes 20 municipal police patrols and 8 teams of civil protection volunteers in constant connection with the municipal civil protection operations room, open 24 hours a day for the duration of the alert. The patrols and the teams are ready to give the alarm and to foresee the actions of safety.
As for the subway, the two entrances to the Brignole metro station on via Canevari will remain closed until the orange alert, the elevators inside the Canevari metro station and the elevators from piazza Raggi to corso Montegrappa. The Brignole metro station will be accessible from piazza Raggi (Borgo Incrociati) and from piazza Verdi by normal accesses. For the duration of the orange weather alert the elevators of the underpass of the Sestri Ponente railway station, in Via Puccini, and the Quezzi lift remain closed.
All the holders of Blue Area A, B, C, R and T coupons, only in cases where these areas have been optioned as first choice (eg AL – CF – CG etc.), they have the right to park for free in all Blue Area areas, starting from 3 hours before the start of the alert and until 12 noon the day after the end of the alert.
