In the last weeks the Ducati did not want to deny the voices that were interested in it Maverick Vinales and Fabio Quartararo. These rumors then found an authoritative response in Yamaha's Lin Jarvis, which revealed a narrow court of Borgo Panigale and Suzuki to their drivers at the Sepang weekend.

In Malaysia also Carlo Pernat talked to Sky Sports of the voices chasing each other in the MotoGP paddock from 2021: "The Ducati made itself under Quartararo, much more than in Vinales. The offer has already been made. I spoke to Eric Mahe, the manager of the French, and he told me these things here. They are giving him a nice court, but it also seems right".
The Genoese manager also talked about the negotiations for the renewal of Marquez with HRC: "For me, Honda is the third bike on the grid. I think the best is still the Ducati, the Yamaha is instead the easiest to drive, while the Honda is the most difficult. From what I understand Marquez asked 20 million to renew, and Honda wants to keep it because without Marquez for at least 3 years it wouldn't win the world championship", Concluded Pernat.
