Lara Comi, former MEP of Forza Italia, was arrested

Lara Comi – former MEP of Forza Italia – has been under house arrest since this morning, following an operation by the Guardia di Finanza of Milan and that of Busto Arsizio. The same operation led to the imposition of house arrest also for Paolo Orrigoni, managing director of the Tigros supermarket chain, and for the imprisonment of Giuseppe Zingale, director general of the agency for work AFOL Metropolitana. HANDLE he writes that the three are accused, in various ways, of "corruption, illicit financing and fraud" and Sky TG24 he explains that "the operation is a new trend in the maxi investigation 'Mensa dei povente', which on May 7 led to 43 precautionary measures being carried out – among others – against the former coordinator of Forza Italia in Varese Nino Caianiello, of the councilor "blue" Fabio Altitonante from Lombardy and from the then candidate for the European Championships and municipal councilor at high altitude FI Pietro Tatarella ».

Always Sky TG24 he explains that Comi is responding to three different events: the first has to do with "two consulting contracts received by his company", the second concerns an alleged illegal financing and the third concerns the accusation of "aggravated fraud in the European Parliament".
