Inter Market: imminent agreement with a champion fleeing from Naples

THE'mutiny of Naples could favor the Inter market. According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri club has got its hands on the Belgian striker Dries Mertens, on a collision course with the Neapolitan society after the recent vicissitudes.

Mertens has the contract expiring in June, the renewal of the engagement after what happened is impossible and in a couple of months the player will be able to sign for any society: Inter, according to the newspaper of Rome, has moved before all the rivals and is ready to grab it at zero parameter.

The managing director of the Beneamata Beppe Marotta would have offered the player a two-year contract from six million euros per season, including bonuses, plus a renewal option for a third season.

Mertens said no to an offer from a Chinese club because still wants to make a difference in Italy, reach 100 goals in Serie A and win a Scudetto. It is unlikely that De Laurentiis agrees to let him leave in January, but the arrival at Inter would only be postponed until next June.

Another player one step away from farewell is Callejon, also expiring of contract: the Spanish has several offers from China.
