From 4 to 2 wheels: Seat presents an electric scooter

Seat car company wants to enter the motorcycle market and strengthen its commitment to urban mobility. To do it, the Spanish House is ready to unveil the new "eScooter", a 100% electric vehicle from the performances – declared – equivalent to those of a 125 cc driven by an endothermic engine. eScooter is developed in collaboration with Silence, a manufacturer of electric motorcycles based in Barcelona, and will be sold to private customers and company fleets. The presentation will be held on November 19th in Barcelona at the Smart City Expo World Congress; the scooter should arrive later in 2020.

Seat's new vehicle will become part of the company's new urban mobility strategy, which focuses on the idea of new sustainable solutions for getting around the city. Seat, at the last edition of the Mobile World Congress, had in fact announced that it would lead the Volkswagen Group's micro-mobility strategy. This strategy also includes the Minimo concept car and the eXS Kickscooter scooter (see them in the gallery photos).

President Seat, Luca de Meo, said that "the constant growth of large cities makes urban mobility one of the main challenges to overcome. Today we are taking another step forward in our micromobility strategy, confirming the launch of the first eScooter in the brand's history. "
