Fincantieri among the worst at the MidCap

<! – ->fincantieri_2Bad day for Fincantieri; the stock left 5.64% on the ground at 0.877 euros.

The results of the first nine months of 2019 have disappointed the expectations of the operators. The company ended the review period with revenues of € 4.25 billion, up 9.7% compared to € 3.88 billion in the first three quarters of last year, confirming the sector's growth expectations for 2019 Shipbuilding and the Systems, Components and Services sector. EBITDA also improved, rising from € 281 million to € 287 million (+ 2.1%); however, margins fell from 7.3% to 6.7%.

During the conference call to comment on the quarterly results, Fincantieri's top management did not confirm the estimate on margins for the entire 2019 and do not exclude the possibility of writing down the stake held in VARD.
