Farewell to Afridza Munandar, twenty-year-old Indonesian pilot of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup

A terrible news comes from Sepang: Afridza Munandar, a young participant in the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, lost his life in an accident that occurred at the start of the race.

Involved in a crash at turn 10 during the first lap, the 20-year-old Indonesian was immediately rescued by the circuit's doctors and, given the situation, he was transferred to the Kuala Lumpur hospital by helicopter. Despite the efforts of health personnel, Munandar died shortly after the accident. During the IATC 2019 the number 4 had won two victories, two seconds and two third places. Impossible not to return, with the memory, to 23 October 2011, the day on which Marco Simoncelli disappeared on the same track.
