F.1, Brazil GP – Start "with a bang" for Red Bull

Alexander Albon He obtained the fastest lap in first free practice session of the Brazilian Grand Prix, penultimate round of the Formula 1 World Championship. The Thai Red Bull driver was also the author of the accident on the final, betrayed by the wet track, which caused the red flag regime in which the session ended. Behind Albon we find Bottas and the two Ferraris of Vettel and Leclerc.

Wet session. Heavy rain forced teams and pilots with little activity on the track, which was limited mainly to a few installation laps and little more. Only after the first 40 minutes it started to run on intermediate tires and it was at that moment that the times that gave birth to the classification were recorded, of little importance for drawing conclusions for the weekend. At five minutes from the end there seemed to be the conditions to mount the slicks, but it was just an illusion and the riders who tried it had no small difficulty in keeping the cars on the track. Both Red Bulls had problems: Verstappen came out at turn 1, but avoided contact with the barriers, while Albon went to the wall at turn 12, damaging the car.

Next session with slick tires. According to weather forecasts, the next session should take place on dry asphalt and then the weather conditions should improve for Saturday and Sunday, but here at Interlagos things change rather quickly. Today the slowest was Nicholas Latifi, third Williams driver, who took over from Kubica in free practice 1. Without time trials Grosjean, Perez, Verstappen and Hamilton himself, who today only did three laps.
