The macabre discovery was made by a passer-by in Ponte Buggianese. The body was completely naked. Autopsy tomorrow
The body was recovered at the Mingo Bridge and investigations for identification began. It could be Alessandro Ricci, the 55-year-old man living in Montecatini Alto, who has not been heard from since October 18, when he went out to look for mushrooms and never returned home. They searched for days in the area of the Macchino, in Pescia, without obtaining results.
According to reports from the carabinieri (present on the site Colonel Gianni Fedeli) the body was in an advanced state of decomposition and the death dates back to at least a week ago, but only the autopsy that will be arranged tomorrow by the Public Prosecutor of Pistoia will be able to give more precise answers on this point. Fundamental to the identification of the body could be a tattoo on the right shoulder. Investigators, however, say that, despite the time spent in the water, the corpse is still recognizable. The body was taken over by the Lo Conte funeral and transferred to the Pistoia morgue, where an autopsy will be performed.
