This tractor concept, designed by Design Center by CNH Industrial, is focused on a modular hybrid electric motor, composed of a diesel engine high efficiency, a generator and five electric motors individually controlled. This innovative vehicle architecture offers a series of advantages, including greater operational flexibility and better comfort.
THE electric engines of the STEYR Konzept are connected to each other to ensure that the energy is transmitted exactly where it is needed, while an electronic pair (e-torque) booster, powered by a central battery, provides additional energy during operation at maximum power. This system translates into one continuously variable electric transmission highly efficient. For even more efficient operation, energy it can also be recovered and stored when proceeding in downhill. If necessary, the concept can easily be recharged via a standard charging socket.
In the exclusively electric mode, the STEYR Konzept allows a zero emission operation, both in terms of exhaust gas and noise, which makes it ideal for use in city environments or when working near cattle or in cramped spaces within the farm.
The STEYR Konzept is also characterized by the innovative precision farming technologies: during field work a drone equipped with crop sensors flies in front of the tractor, transmitting data to the cab in real time. An authentic mobile digital farm office, which allows operators to manage the activity directly from the cabin thanks to the display integrated in the right window.
