Android 10 will bring the Pixel 4 and iPhone 11 3D Face Unlock to Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

maybe not everyone knows that the 5G variant of Galaxy S10 has a second sensor frontally of a different type compared to Galaxy S10 +: it is indeed a ToF sensor and will be the protagonist of one of the next Announcements introduced by Android 10.

In fact, according to what emerged from a user Korean who already has the version installed beta of Android 10 on its Galaxy S10 5G, the new one major update would introduce the unlocking method device via facial recognition in 3D, or the same unlocking mode integrated on different top of the range as Pixel 4, iPhone 11 and Mate 30 Pro. The user has verified the novelty related to Face Unlock 3D going to cover up with the finger the ToF sensor and observing the block of its operation.

At the moment we are not sure that the novelty will also be implemented in the version stable of Android 10 for Galaxy S10 5G, but we don't see why it should remain an exclusive to Korean users.
