34 people were arrested in Como for tax evasion and fraudulent bankruptcy


In Como, 34 people have been arrested since October in the so-called "New World" investigation: they are accused of fraudulent abduction to pay taxes for over three million euros, concealment and destruction of accounting documents, and bankruptcy for distraction of 12 cooperatives, for a total of over 15 million euros. Some of the people arrested are also accused of disturbing two public tenders called by the Municipality for the concession in concession of two shores on the lake. 22 of those arrested are now in prison, the other 12 under house arrest. Among those arrested are Massimiliano Ficarra, an accountant with a studio in Gioia Tauro (Reggio Calabria), Cesare Giovanni Pravisano, a former official of the Milan Trade and Industry bank, and Mario Rattaggi, a fugitive, arrested in Bucharest, Romania, and considered a nominee of two of the main suspects: between 2016 and 2018 he was the administrator of some failed cooperatives.
