The Moroccan Association of Textile and Clothing Industries (AMITH) has just signed, in Marrakech, two partnership agreements with the Union des Industries Textiles (UIT) on the one hand, and the French Union of Fashion Industries Clothing (UFIMH), on the other hand. These two conventions were signed on the sidelines of the two Textile-Clothing trade shows "Maroc in mode" and "Morocco sourcing" organized on 17 and 18 October in Marrakech. "The signing of these two conventions represents a historic moment for the Moroccan textile-clothing sector," said AMITH President Mohamed Boubouh.
France, a historical partner of the textile-clothing sector in Morocco, is the guest of honor during this new edition of "Morocco in fashion" and "Maroc sourcing". Created more than 50 years ago, the AMITH assumes a leading role for the promotion and development of the textile and clothing industry. The ITU represents, through its occupational groupings of branches and territories, the majority of the 2,300 textile companies active in France. The UFIMH is an institution representative of a vast sector of economic activity namely clothing.
Member of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), the Liaison Committee of Manpower Industries (CLIMO) and the European Textile and Apparel Association (Euratex), the UFIMH is a force of proposals which dialogue with governments, parliamentary assemblies and administrations, with a view to continuously improving the competitiveness and performance of companies.
