Philippines, magnitude 6.6 earthquake: buildings destroyed and several wounded. Office panic


A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.6 was recorded at 9.04 local time (2.04 in Italy) on the Philippine island of Mindanao. According to data from the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Ingv) and the US Geological Survey, the earthquake had a hypocenter at a depth of about 20 km and was its epicenter near Bual. According to local media reports, a boy fleeing his school would have been killed by the collapse of part of the building. Other students were injured.
