As every morning, Massimo is en route to his workplace in Braine L'Alleud. Except that this time, he is on the road for more than 3 hours, blocked following the accident on the E19.
"We went up on the highway to Saint-Ghislain to go to work at 5 o'clock", tells us Massimo, after contacting us via our orange button."It is 8 o'clock, we have traveled 12 kilometers."
And there are still some miles to go. Massimo and his colleagues must arrive at Braine L'Alleud, and are for the moment stuck on the exit side towards Nimy. This morning, a tanker truck struck jobs in Maisières and lost a flammable liquid. "We did not know that there was an accident, we took the car, and we are stuck."
Massimo immediately warned his employer, who was very conciliatory. "We are working a lot at the factory near Braine L'Alleud. Some colleagues have already arrived. They took an alternative route, but arrived not long ago."
I've been traveling for 18 years
A frustrating situation for many motorists, but that Massimo and his colleagues take lightly. "We're kidding, we have to take it philosophically, it's been 18 years since I made this trip, it's not the first time it happens, but like today, I've never seen that."
