Football: This time, that's it, FC Sion has moved – News Sports: Football

Second pause of the national teams obliges, clubs of Super League are found deprived these days of their international players (even opposite). It is therefore the possibility, for those who remain, to work sometimes differently, in an atmosphere perhaps also more relaxed (but no less studious), without the pressure of the match of the weekend to prepare – the championship not taking again than October 19th and 20th. Everywhere, there is what is important to improve, what needs to change (when the results are late or have disappeared), what needs to be further strengthened in the hope of mitigating its shifts that are the lot of the majority of the clubs.

For Sion, it is at the same time the opportunity to discover his brand new training center. If everything is not yet operational (cloakrooms and the rehabilitation center are not quite finished), the transfer of the "Gate Octodure" in Martigny, where FC Sion was based for years, to Riddes is already on a very good track. "The players are appropriating the place," says one at the club's headquarters.

Located near the training center of the Valais club located in a former Biscuit factory, the new living and working place of FC Sion has "pushed" on the other side of the cantonal road, behind the sign Hornbach. It includes three grass fields and living areas spread over 1000 m2. Particularity of the place: in place of a traditional construction, portacabines, from the hydroelectric site of Nant de Drance, were developed. Amount of the invoice: some three million francs.

FC Sion will not take advantage of this second international break (there will be a third in November) to organize an official friendly match. On the other hand, Stéphane Henchoz's opponents will fight against the M21 Valaisans led by Sébastien Bichard.

Three days off for Xamax

The same on the side of Neuchâtel where a friendly match between Wednesday afternoon (from 15:30) Xamax to the hopes of the Maladière. In order to offer a refreshing break to his players, Joël Magnin will offer them three full days off (from Friday at the end of the day to Monday afternoon). Ideal for reloading heavily used organisms in recent times.

Third Super League French club, Servette will finally play this weekend a friendly match, in a place kept secret and facing an opponent who will remain (so as not to burden the budget security costs usually associated with this kind of appointment -you).
