Ajax Amsterdam fans will be banned from traveling to Chelsea on 5 November in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA announced on Thursday night. This decision follows the incidents caused by fans of the Dutch club during the trip to Valencia on October 2nd during the second day of the competition (victory of Ajax 3-0).

The disciplinary body of UEFA imposes on the club a fine of 50 000 euros and a fine of 18 000 euros for "Inappropriate conduct of the team" in Mestalla (6 yellow cards). Ajax, who has thirty days to settle the Spanish club the damage caused in the stands by his supporters, said in a statement that "Has requested additional information from UEFA (and) will then consider the possibility of appealing".
