The energy group BKW has acquired the German LTB Leitungsbau, active in the airline business. With around 400 employees, the company in Germany has generated in 2018, a turnover of 90 million euros (98 million francs).
This step reinforces the strategy of BKW in the area of activity of network services, said Wednesday the group without disclosing the amount of the transaction.
"BKW anticipates a strong growth market in the construction, renovation and maintenance of high and very high voltage lines in Germany," the statement said.
LTB Leitungsbau, present at seven German sites, focuses on the planning and construction of airline installations, the related engineering, as well as the development and sale of geographic information systems, mounting and tools for the installation of overhead lines.
