Rémi Cavagna won stage 19 of the Vuelta a España, a section between Ávila and Toledo, of 165.2 kilometers, in which Primoz Roglic It was confirmed in the leadership of the competition, while Nairo Quintana is still third and Miguel Ángel López, fourth, two fractions of the final.

(See here: Thus were the classifications of the Tour, after stage 19)

The stage had several acts. The first, the winds. The region through which the caravan traveled has these characteristics, but it also rained, which made the lot quiet and gave a free letter to a leak.

Silvan Dillier (AG2R La Mondiale), Domen Novak (Bahrain-Merida), Rémi Cavagna (Deceuninck-Quick Step), Lawson Craddock (EF Education First), Bruno Armirail (Groupama-FDJ), Tsgabu Grmay (Mitchelton Scott), Ben O'Connor (Team Dimension Data), David de la Cruz (Team Ineos), Nikias Arndt (Team Sunweb) and Peter Stetina (Trek-Segafredo) had two minutes apart.

(Too: The moment of the fall of Roglic and López in stage 19)

66 kilometers after the arrival, there was a fall in which the victims were Roglic, López and Tadej Pogacar.

While they tried to rejoin, Movistar accelerated, with Nairo and Alejandro Valverde, something that looked bad, because the race was not launched, the goal was far.

Roglic arrived at López's lot and cyclists from CCC, Ag2r and Sunweb joined, who helped in the persecution.

52 km from the goal. Movistar raised his foot, ordered to slow down so that the ones from behind connect, in a sample of fair play. It was what should happen.

When the race was 40 km from the arrival, a cut, due to the wind, was presented. Bora proposed it and Movistar and López entered,
but Roglic and two of his companions closed the gap.

(In addition: Controversy: Should Movistar have to stop or accelerate due to the fall of the leader?)

Rémi Cavagna went ahead and had 1 minute 06 seconds of advantage and 10 km from the goal was almost the winner.

This Saturday, stage 20, between Arenas de San Pedro and Platform de Gredos, 190.4 kilometers, with six mountain passes, two first, two second and two third, the last one in the goal, last chance to try to achieve their goals in the race.
