We will not come back on the adventures of Samsung's first collapsible smartphone / tablet, which was originally scheduled to be released in the spring (read: Samsung will release its Galaxy Fold in September). Despite the insults, the manufacturer intends to continue the development of its foldable technology, since a new model is in the pipes.
The site SamMobile, generally well informed, was told that a successor of the Galaxy Fold was on the way, it would carry the reference number SM-F700F. Among the features that stand out for the moment, the presence of 256 GB of storage. Accuracy is important because the current Fold has double: it could mean that Samsung intends to sell this new model cheaper.
In France, the Galaxy Fold was to cost € 2,020 (it will undoubtedly be its label when it will be available again by us). A very high-end price for a device that is no less, despite its small concerns of youth. A more affordable rate for the second generation would make forget the industrial cagade of his predecessor.
As for the shape of this new device, it's still very vague. The site Let's Go Digital relied on Samsung patents to imagine two possible designs, for as many different folds: one vertically as the current Fold, the other horizontally. In both cases, a second screen is present on the outer flap.
