Regeneration, September 13, 2019. Box. Thanks to the efforts of the National Boxing Commission (Conabox), yesterday a meeting was held between actor Sylvester Stallone and Mexican boxers in order to convey their experience and motivate them.
Since the young athletes are preparing to get a place in the next Olympic Games.
This activity, at no cost to the Government of Mexico, is part of the activities promoted by Conabox to accompany the physical and emotional development of our athletes.
The honorary president of Conabox, Miguel Torruco Garza, assured that the preparation of a boxer is not only physical, but also mental, and added:
“The key is to support starting athletes, and create opportunities for them; focus on the youngest, never turn our backs on young people, as President López Obrador has expressed."
The president of the Mexican Boxing Federation, Ricardo Contreras Hernández, participated in the meeting.
As guests attended athletes from the youth boxing team of the Citadel of the Mexican capital.
Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone (Hell’s Kitchen, New York; July 6, 1946) is an American actor, screenwriter, producer and film director.
Stallone is a Hollywood action movie star.
He has given life among other characters, Rocky Balboa, a Philadelphia boxer who beat against all odds and became champion.
Also to John Rambo, former green beret veteran of the Vietnam War, specializing in guerrillas, survival and combat.
The Rocky film (1976) earned him two Oscar nominations, in the category of Best Actor and Best Screenplay.
In 2016 he won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for the role of Rocky Balboa in the spin-off of the saga, Creed (2015), in addition to being nominated for an Oscar in the same category.
