Nissan Rouge removed in the US for failures in the automatic braking system

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has ordered Nissan Rouge cars out of circulation for failures in the emergency automatic braking system (AEB), Fox News reports.

The AEB is able to brake or stop the vehicle in its entirety in the face of imminent collisions, but due to failures in its operation there have been at least 14 crashes and 5 injuries in the US.

For its part, given the measures taken by the NHTSA, Nissan has offered to update the software that controls the AEB to improve system performance.
