After 25 years of leading the Latam Airlines Group, Enrique Cueto will be in office until March 31, 2020. In his replacement, Roberto Alvo Milosawlewitsch, the current commercial vice president of the Group, was appointed.

This appointment comes after a succession process that began last year and that included external and internal candidates, the airline says. Likewise, the company believes that this action will allow them to make a planned transition without neglecting the current strategic priorities and projects that are being executed.

The unanimous decision of the board of directors to appoint Roberto Alvo took into account his 18 years of experience in the company, successfully occupying different positions in Finance, Fleet, Planning, and in recent years, leading the Commercial area.

“We are confident that the leadership and deep knowledge of the industry and the Roberto Alvo region will lead us to fly even higher, maintaining the preference of the more than 70 million passengers we transport per year and become one of the lines most admired areas of the world, ”said Ignacio Cueto. He also thanked the current CEO, Enrique Cueto, for his vision and leadership to make the Latin American air group a world leader.
