This decision, which will be effective on March 31, 2020, comes after a fairly turbulent five years as a result of the LAN-TAM merger that gave birth to LATAM in conjunction with other international and regional scenarios, but which today finds the holding company in a much more solid position, with subsidiaries in seven countries and dominating the Latin American market.
The new CEO of LATAM Airlines Group will be Roberto Alvo Milosawlewitsch, who currently serves as Commercial Vice President after a vast 18-year career in the company, having successfully held positions in areas such as Finance, Fleet, Planning and Commercial (among them , CFO of LAN Argentina). His designation was voted unanimously by the Board of Directors after a thorough selection process that included internal and external candidates.
