Dave Clark, head of operations at Amazon, has announced that its fleet of vans will be electrified soon. The American company has commissioned 100,000 electrical units, which will start operating from 2021.

This millionaire project supposes the world's largest order of electric vehicles intended for parcel delivery.

According to Amazon, its goal is to be a company thatand use 100% renewable energy by 2030 and carbon neutral by 2040, 10 years earlier than the United Nations Paris Agreement marked.

The multinational has also assured that it will invest 100 million dollars in reforestation projects worldwide.

The company expects to have 10,000 of its new electric vehicles circulating on the roads by 2022 and 100% by 2030, saving four million tons of carbon per year.

"If a company with as much physical infrastructure as Amazon, which delivers more than 10,000 million items a year, can comply with the Paris Agreement ten years before, then any company can do it," said the founder and CEO of the company, Jeff Bezos.
