Xiaomi launches the first connected TV Redmi

We can have a tight budget but still want to take full eyes. The Redmi TV, which is the first of its kind in the Redmi family, could easily find a place on the living room wall! This TV, presented at the same time as the Redmi Note 8, offers a diagonal of 70 inches in 4K HDR.

Android TV to maneuver

The eyes are good, the ears are just as important: the Redmi TV includes Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. Under the slab is an Amlogic eight-core 1.5 GHz chip, backed by a Mali-450 MP3 GPU. The television carries 16 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM, as well as the Bluetooth 4.2 (damage for the 5.0) and the usual arsenal Wi-Fi (b / g / n / ac 2.4 and 5 GHz). The connected functions of the Redmi TV are based on Android TV, but the manufacturer joins an overlay called PatchWall.

At the rear, you can connect three devices in HDMI 2.0, two USB ports, an Ethernet port, an audio / video input, an optical output and a plug for the antenna. Nothing staggering therefore, but for the asking price it is difficult to be choosy: this TV indeed costs 3,799 yuan, or about 480 euros.

Still, it will probably be difficult to find the Redmi TV in France. At present, Xiaomi has not said anything about marketing outside Chinese borders, even though the manufacturer is heavily involved in Europe.
