Two teammates join him: Travis Etienne and linebacker Isaiah Simmons.
On Monday, Clemson was installed # 1 in the AP Prep Poll for the first time in the school's history.
Alabama joined Clemson with three pre-season All-Americans, with wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, a 2018 all-American defensive lineman, Raekwon Davis and linebacker Dylan Moses.
– Bo Nix has been named starting quarterback for Auburn, and is about to become the second freshman to make his debut at school.
The school announced the decision on his Twitter account. The Tigers will open the campaign against Oregon on Aug. 31 in Arlington, Texas. Travis Tidwell, who opened the first game in 1946, is the only real freshman to take off.
Nix defeated Redshirt rookie Joey Gatewood in a lively competition that began in the spring.
-Austin Kendall, a graduate from Oklahoma, will be starting quarterback from West Virginia.
"We followed everything from spring training to fall camp," coach Neal Brown told a news conference. "Percentage of completion, number of turnarounds, practices from spring to fall camp."
Kendall, who still has two remaining qualifying seasons, beat junior Jack Allison and Jarret Doege, a junior forward who was the starting quarterback of Bowling Green last season. Doege has received a derogation from the NCAA and can play immediately, according to several outlets.

– Whisconsin wide receiver Quintez Cephus has joined the team, but will be able to play when he is in the air.
The school expelled Cephus after his arrest for two counts of sexual assault and announced his reinstatement on Monday after being found not guilty. The sports department subsequently issued a statement that Cephus was back with the Badgers, but had to settle "eligibility problems before he could play."
The Wisconsin State Journal reported that department spokesman Brian Lucas had refused to identify the nature of these problems. He said, however, that the Cephus Athletics Fellowship had been reinstated.
– The first quarterback kentucky, Nik Scalzo, will undergo an operation in the right knee after being injured in the fray Saturday.

The injury is a blow for Scalzo, who underwent knee ACL surgery last fall after being injured in November.
Lovie Smith, coach of the Illinois team, chose Brandon Peters, a former Michigan graduate, his starting quarterback.
Peters, who still has two eligibility seasons, is a former four-star rookie who has played in 10 games (four starts) for the Wolverines.
"We liked Brandon when we got to know him during the recruiting process," Smith said in a statement.
Quarterback Demry Croft of the state of Tennessee was arrested and charged with six counts of rape and two counts of sexual violence following a grand jury indictment.
All charges are crimes and are the result of an incident that occurred on December 1.
The minutes from the Nashville and Davidson County Courts show that Croft was arrested on Monday with a $ 50,000 bond. He was released later in the day. His indictment was scheduled for 4 September.
Receiver-catcher Mycah Pittman could be six to eight weeks off because of a shoulder injury in Oregon's intrasquad scrum on Saturday.
The Ducks, ranked 11th, expected Pittman to be part of their main rotation and could eventually be part of a team seeking to replace Dillon Mitchell.
Pittman is the last Oregon receiver to fall, joining two players with a foot injury in the opening match against No. 16 Auburn and beyond. Brenden Schooler may be absent for another month after undergoing foot surgery, and the rookie, JR Waters, is likely on a similar schedule due to a foot problem.
