Two women attacked with acid at Marseillan Plage


An acid attack killed two people on Friday night at Marseillan Plage, near Agde, in the Hérault. At 11:55 pm, two women aged 38 and 47 were sprayed with acid on the face while they were on the terrace of the restaurant "Le Couscous d'Anice", report firefighters.

They were both transported in emergency relative to the nearest hospital.According to the gendarmerie, the two victims, who knew their attackers, decided not to file a complaint and not to reveal the identity of the people who attacked them.

In Montpellier, several attacks with corrosive liquid took place, in particular in October and last March. Also in February, several acid attacks took place in the Paris metro. This type of attack is nonetheless rare in France.
