Sunday 1st September 2019, firefighters from all over France are expected to Toulouse for a competition a little special. The firefighters will compete against each other during a test of rope climbing, a competition to climb ropes which will take place on Capitol Hill.
At the strength of the arms
It is the association Toroc, an association which brings together staff rescue centers of Ramonville Buchens and Toulouse Vion who organizes this day, in partnership with the SDIS 31 and the Haute-Garonne Departmental Union of Firefighters.
This competition, which will be held in teams, will take place in two tests. In the morning, competitors will have to climb a 20-meter rope suspended from a firefighter's ladder with the strength of their arm. 2875 meters to climb by team
In the afternoon, it's a team challenge that awaits the competitors with the test of Pic du Midi. In teams of five, the firefighters will always have to the strength of their arms, climb 575 ropes of 5 meters, or 2875 meters of rope

Animations and good action

This is the first time that Toulouse hosts a competition to climb ropes. In some departments, it is a compulsory test to become firefighters.
In parallel with this sporting challenge, animations are scheduled throughout the day, like air circus or raffle. A refreshment bar and a small restoration will be installed place of the Capitol. All the benefits of the day will be donated to theAssociation Overcoming Cystic Fibrosis.
