Involved at the beginning of the second lap of the race in a high-speed pileup with the American Juan Manuel Correa and the Japanese Marino Sato, Anthoine Hubert died as a result of his injuries.
The Chartrain car was split in two
The images, stealthily broadcast on Canal +, are chilling. We see the car of the Anthoine Hubert chartres driver completely dislocated. The accident occurred shortly after the start of the race, around 17 hours, at the top of the Raidillon, on a portion where pilots ride at very high speed.

On an amateur video broadcast on the internet, we see the car of the Chartrain go into the wall of tires, bounce off and stop on the track, before being hit hard by that of Juan-Manuel Correa. The Chartrain car was split in two, while that of the American driver turned into a violent crash.
The race was canceled. Correa was taken to the hospital with broken legs.
