The Egyptian championship attracts more and more Moroccan players. The latest is none other than Abdelkabir El Ouadi, who committed Wednesday with Wadi Degla. El Ouadi was recruited by Degla to replace Senegalese striker Ibrahima Ndiaye, who left for Switzerland in early summer.

The 26-year-old left the Ittihad Tangier after just one season in the Detroit, where he scored 5 goals and 6 assists in 27 games. He had previously played with Raja Casablanca, AS FAR and Widad de Fès, his training club.

El Ouadi becomes the fifth Moroccan player active in the Egyptian championship, after the trio of Zamalek Khalid Boutaïb, Ashraf Bencharki and Mohamed Ounnajem, in addition to Al Ahly striker, Walid Azarou.
