EURO FALLS AT DOLLAR AND FED DOES NOTHING, SAYS TRUMP
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Donald Trump again attacked the Federal Reserve on Friday, accusing him of doing nothing to stop the euro from falling against the dollar.
"The euro falls against the dollar 'to the madness', which gives them a big advantage for the export industry and (…) and the Fed does NOTHING!", Reads on the account Twitter of the American president.
"We do not have a tariff problem (we are curbing those who play badly or unfairly), we have a problem with the Fed, they do not know what they are doing!", Says Donald Trump, who keeps on to blame the central bank for penalizing the US economy by not lowering its interest rates enough.
The euro has lost 3.7% against the dollar since the beginning of the year after falling 4.39% last year. It yields 0.16% to 1.1038 dollar Friday at 14:25 GMT.
